About Copilot M365 Chat

Copilot M365 Chat is the conversational AI interface at the heart of Microsoft 365 Copilot. Available in the standalone Copilot app, the Teams sidebar and on mobile, it gives users a single, natural-language way to interact with the full breadth of their M365 data — emails, Teams chats, meetings, files and calendar — without switching between apps or searching manually.

The most common adoption barrier isn't access, it's habit: people open Copilot once, write a generic prompt, get a mediocre result and never return. This session fixes that. It focuses on building a clear mental model of how Work grounding works, how to write prompts that produce consistently useful output, and how to weave Copilot Chat into the moments that already exist in the working day — morning catch-ups, meeting prep, follow-up drafting and research. Best suited to anyone with a Copilot licence who hasn't yet found a reason to open it every day.
