About Forms

Microsoft Forms is M365's built-in survey, quiz and data-collection tool — a lightweight web app for designing forms that work on any device and plug directly into the rest of the M365 stack. Responses flow into Excel, Teams channels and Power Automate flows with no extra setup.

It's best used for staff surveys, customer feedback, event registrations, training quizzes, polls in Teams meetings, and any structured data capture that would otherwise land in ad-hoc email threads. HR, L&D, internal comms, event organisers, managers and trainers benefit most. Forms solves the classic problem of collecting information in messy, unstructured ways — replacing paper, PDF attachments and free-text emails with a single, governed capture experience that produces clean, analysable data from the moment the form is filled in.
