Book This Session →Microsoft Visio on the Web is M365's browser-based diagramming tool — a lightweight but capable way to build flowcharts, process diagrams, org charts, network diagrams and basic floor plans directly in the browser, with diagrams stored in OneDrive or SharePoint and embeddable in Teams and Loop.
It's best used for mapping business processes, documenting workflows, designing org structures, planning events or floor layouts, and visualising any system that's easier to understand as a diagram than as text. Operations, process improvement, IT, HR, facilities, project managers and business analysts benefit most. Visio solves the common problem of important processes being described only in long, tangled paragraphs of text — by giving the business a consistent, version-controlled visual language for how work actually flows.

What Visio in Microsoft 365 is and a guided tour of the Visio for the Web interface — canvas, ribbon and shapes panel. We survey the supported diagram types, from flowcharts and block diagrams to org charts, basic network and cloud architecture diagrams, then browse and select templates to start from.
The mechanics of clean diagramming: adding, moving, resizing, aligning and distributing shapes, then drawing and formatting the connectors between them. We add and format text on shapes and connectors, and apply themes and styles so every diagram has a consistent, professional look.
Putting the skills to work on the diagrams teams actually need: flowcharts with standard symbols, decision branches and loops, cross-functional swimlane diagrams and basic org charts. We also structure larger work as multi-page diagrams, adding, renaming and navigating between pages.
Co-authoring in the browser with comments and @mentions, and sharing diagrams via OneDrive and SharePoint so the right people always see the latest version. We finish by surfacing diagrams in Teams and on SharePoint pages, and exporting to PDF, PNG and SVG.
